Farewell Pregnancy

3 days until I become a mother. Once Monday comes I will be a mother, and that title will stay with me forever. Does that make sense???

My feelings are very conflicting. I feel semi-emotional with the idea of greeting my first baby and no longer being pregnant. Strange. I know. The good thing is that I've kept a good pregnancy journal both here on blogger and in a book. I always enjoyed when my mom would tell me the stuff she experienced when she was pregnant with me, so I'm expecting my kids will want to know too. LOL

Pregnancy Loves:

  • Baby movements (especially the hiccups)
  • Cravings
  • Strangers smiles (everyone loves pregnant women)
  • My Ob's staff.
  • Fetal heartbeat
  • Ultrasounds
  • Learning about the development
  • Being complimented for my huge belly (I'm very proud of my belly)
  • My husband's jokes about me being pregnant (his favorite was watching me squat to pick something up)

These last 3 weeks have been really hard on my body. I'm to the point where I can barely get out off bed. I ache everywhere and I'm ready to move out of the bathroom. It'll be wonderful to meet my baby.

I look forward to the following:

  • See her wearing her baby clothes that I stop to admire every time I pass my closet.
  • See her little face and smell her hair (she better have hair...LOL).
  • Last but not least, To see my husband hold her. I am dying to see them together. I want to see the pile of mush my husband will become.

Are you being induced? How exciting to see your LO soon! Motherhood is a wonderful experience, and you will be an amazing one! And I totally know how you feel. I miss being pregnant! But getting to hold my baby in my arms and watch him grow and learn is so rewarding!

No, I'm scheduled for a c-section b/c baby is breech and I told the Doctor I didn't want to be pregnant forever. I know, a little bit of a contradiction. ;)

Oh I see. I know how you feel, though. I was ready to be done at the end. Good luck with it! I'm excited to see pictures. And I will pray for you that all goes well and you'll recover fast!
