I love Christmas time. Everything is so exciting and it reminds me of being a child again. Except now, I've got a wife! The other day Cassie and I made some hot chocolate and we stirred it with candy canes. I think my old brother taught me to do that when I was five or something like that. It still tastes delicious. Cassie also enjoyed it.
This time of year is especially exciting because the semester is about to end. Cassie only has finals left to take, I am very jealous. She is very excited and we're thinking about our trip to Chicago. We will leave on either the 19th or the 20th, depending on whether or not I can move one of my finals, which I probably will be able to do. I have four days of school left, so that is a bummer, but most of my classes are only reviewing for the finals at this point. I am done with most of the final projects that I had for my classes, so I'm really glad about that. We are really excited to go home, see family, and celebrate Christmas with everyone. I know a lot of people believe that Christmas has become commercialized almost to the point of losing all of its meaning, but it still brings families together and I think it does help a lot of people treat each other better, although maybe only outside of malls. Cassie and I both are definitely reminded of the Savior during this time of year. I don't feel bad giving people nice gifts around Christmas, I think that giving can bring us closer to our Savior.
We hope that everyone is doing well and will have the chance to see family on Christmas.
